The Land of Smiles or Thailand smiles away all its troubles, be it economic collapse, SARS, avian influenza, tsunami, or political turmoil. Quite naturally, Thailand remains one of the most endearing destinations in the world. This glitzy land is full of stunning contrasts where uber modernism thrives against a backdrop of overwhelming Buddhist pathos. Every year, millions hunt out cheap tickets to Thailand and experience its myriad wonders. Emptying out your wallet in the manic shopping scene of Bangkok, gorging on lip smacking cuisines, staking out the temples of Chiang Mai, or lazing in the beaches of Krabi are just some of the enticements in Thailand. Every city reveals a different shade of colour as one traverses the breadth of the country.
Those with a passion for beaches have a world of choice to select from, with Hua Hin Beach, Lamai Beach, Maya Beach, Patong Beach, and Sairee Beach to name just a few. While adrenalin junkies can indulge in exhilarating activities like scuba diving or snorkelling, the tamer ones may soak in the glorious sun. Soul satiating spa therapy and traditional thai massages, nail biting muay thai boxing matches, trekking, sea canoeing, diving with sharks, going wine tasting, or watching the unbelievable lady boy cabaret performances – you name it and Thailand has it. Hop aboard one of the Thailand flights and discover or rediscover the joys of this fabled land like millions of other visitors. Perhaps, one of the best things about Thailand is that almost every kind of tourist with every kind of taste is at perfect ease in this destination.

Summer of uncertainties – This time it’s the UK Flights
Note: Thai tourist going to London
This summer in The UK has so far been a season of incidents involving uncertainty. The Icelandic volcano ash cloud caused the greatest uncertainty for travellers who were stranded in foreign countries. There was uncertainty as to who will form government in the United Kingdom in view of the hung parliament. And now there is huge uncertainty about the British Airways’ employees calling their strike(s) off.
United Kingdom has been in news for sometime for British airways employees going on strike and since Unite is planning another 5-day-strike it is obvious that the management and the employees are still caught in a bitter row.
BA claims that United Kingdom Flights from the Heathrow airport to the US have been resumed and it claimed that the global operations continued properly.
The number of flights from Heathrow would be increased as more employees are reporting to work. Services at Gatwick and London City airports are 100% operational while at Heathrow the services seem to be mostly unaffected.
Over the past 14 days of action BA says that the strike has cost them GBP 90 million and Mr Woodley, joint leader of Unite, says that the ''hard man'' stance of BA chief executive, Willie Walsh, is leading the airline into a prolonged needless disruption.
There is drop that has been noticed in number of passengers at the six British Airports due to the ongoing BA strikes.
